Foodie Fridays

So this Friday kicked off to a wonderful start courtesy of our rather gorgeous next door neighbour Michael Marriott (sorry ladies, sadly no relation to the hotel chain). He whipped up a storm for us in the kitchen and we started off the day with a sumptuous round of Eggs BenedictImageImageImage

As if that did not fill our tum’s enough, we decided to proceed in the day of gluttony and greed by baking Banana & Cinnamon Muffins.


To make the banana muffins we used:

– 5 ripe, mashed bananas
– 90g melted butter
– 2tbsps golden syrup (more if you want them sweet)
– 80g wheat bran
– 40g oats
– 260g brown flour
– 1tbsp baking powder
– 2tbsps milk
– 2tsps cinnamon

To decorate we used a combination of sunflower seeds, sliced banana, extra oats and raisins. Then cook them in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
